SBI CLERK SELECTION PROCEDURE AND EXAM PATTERN

SBI PO selection process will be of three (03) phases-

Phase I: On-line test

SBI Clerk Online Test will be held for preliminary & main examinations (Detailed Syllabus is given bellow). You have to answer the question on a computer in this phase.


Phase II: Test of knowledge of official and/or local language

A candidate will not be subjected to any Language test if he/she produces 10th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing having studied the official (local) language. For others, language test will be conducted at the time of the interview. If the interview is not held language test will be conducted before final selection. Candidates would be disqualified if not found to be proficient in official and/or local language.


Phase III: Interview (this is subject to Govt. of India approval)

Candidates qualified in the main examination will be placed according to their marks in descending order in respective categories.

Only certain number of candidates from among those who qualify in the previous two phases by ranking high enough in the merit list will be called for interview (the ratio will be maximum 3 candidates for each vacancy).

Candidates are required to score a minimum mark in the interview to qualify for the final selection. SC/ST/ OBC/PWD/XS category will get 5% relaxation in the interview.


Final Selection:

For the preparation of final merit list, only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be added to the marks obtained in Interview (Phase-III).

The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and. Final selection will be made on the basis of candidate's performance in the main examination and interview.

SBI Clerk Syllabus for Online Test

The first phase of the Selection Procedure is of 02 (two) parts of tests in ONLINE mode. Each test will have separate marks and timing as mentioned below.  You have to pass in each of the objective tests (both part I and part II).

The questions will be of objective tests and except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English &Hindi.

There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. For each wrong answer, a 1/4th mark will be deducted from your total marks obtained.



#1 Part I: Preliminary Examination

As mentioned above, Preliminary Examination will be conducted online. There will be Objective Type Questions for 100 marks. You will be given 60 minutes to answer the questions. There will be 03 Subjects in this test as mentioned below-

English Language Syllabus:

#2 Part II: Main Examination
Here is the syllabus of SBI Clerk Main Exam. The Main Test for online Exam is consist of 04 (four ) sections.

The passing marks in each of the tests will be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level.
