SSC ENTRY for IAF as a pilot both FOR MEN AND WOMEN Through AFCAT Exam : The Short Term Service Commissions (SSC) in Air Force is only for 14 years. This term is not extendable. For SSC entry you can apply through AFCAT for SSC in the Flying Branch. Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is the only path which allows both men & women to get into the flying branch for Short Service Commission.
