#1 Join Indian Navy as an Engineering General Service Officer:

If you join Indian Navy as an engineering general service officer, you have to operate and maintain the Latest technology Marine Engineering equipment onboard ships, submarines and aircrafts.

Process to Join Indian Navy as an Engineering (General Service) Officer:

You can apply for Engineering (General Service)-E Exam to join this job and take Indian navy as your career path.

This is a Male only Entry for Indian Navy General Service Section.

To enter through this process your age must be between 19 ½ years to 25 years.

The candidates must possess at least 60% marks in BE/B Tech Degree in any one of the following stream:-

(i) Marine

(ii) Mechanical

(iii) Aeronautical

(iv) Production

(v) Metallurgy

(vii) Control

(viii) Any other allied discipline

#2 Join as a Submarine Engineer Officer in Indian Navy:

If you are an adventure person with passion to do something special, this job is for you.

To be a submarine engineer officer is an adventurous job. You have an opportunity to explore deep into the ocean as an submarine engineer. 

As a Submarine Engineer officer, you will be tasked with the requirements to maintain high end propulsion systems, including nuclear and diesels, along with associated systems. 

In this job, you are offered some advantages of joining the Arm i.e. a higher allowances and station stability. You would also be afforded an opportunity to pursue higher studies viz. M tech in premier training institutions of India.




How to Join Indian Navy Submarine Engineering:

You can apply for this job through Indian Navy Submarine (Engineering) entry.

This is a Male only entry. Only a boy can apply for this job.

If your age is between 19 ½ years to 25 years, you can apply through the official website.


The candidates must possess at least 55% marks in BE/B Tech Degree in any one of the following stream:-

(i) Mechanical

(ii) Electrical/Electronics

(iii) Telecommunications

(iv) Computer Science

(v) Control Engineering or

(vi) Equivalent qualification recognised by Institute of Engineers (India) as exempted from section 'A' and 'B' of their Associate membership examination.

Or

Instrumentation, Instrumentation and control, Aeronautical, Automation Robotics, Industrial Engg and Management and Production Engg.

Join Indian Navy as an Engineer





#3 Join Indian Navy as a Naval Construction Officer:

Importance of an officer in the Naval Architect Cadre is notable. 

Duty of a naval construction officer includes design of warships and submarines.

They have to oversee the construction at various shipyards, platform trials at sea, appointment onboard warships.

A naval construction officer's duty includes refit and operational support for ships and submarines, including dry docking. 

Meritorious officers are also selected for M Tech and other courses at reputed institutions like IITs.




Naval Architecture Entry for Naval Construction Officer:

Through this Entry process both Male and Female are eligible to join Indian Navy as an Engineer.

If your age is not less than 19 ½ and not more than 25 years, you can apply through the official website of Indian Navy.

The candidates must possess at least 60% marks in BE/B. Tech Degree in any one of the following stream:-

(i) Mechanical

(ii)Civil

(iii) Aeronautical

(iv) Metalogy

(v) Naval Architecture

#4 Join Indian Navy as an Engineer Through NDA(NA):

A 12th pass student with PCM or a student who is appearing in the Exam of 12th with PCM can apply for this entry.


Gender: Only a Male candidate can join through this process.

Age: Age limit for this entry process is 16 ½ years to 19 years.




#5 Join Indian Navy as an Engineer Through 10+2 (B.Tech) Entry:

Gender: This is a Male only process.

Age: 17 to 19 ½ years.

A candidate should pass senior secondary examination (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent from a recognised university or board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). You should get at least 50% marks in English (either in class x or class xii).



#6 Join Indian Navy as an Engineer Through UES:

Both Male and Female candidate can apply for this entry.

Age limit for joining Indian Navy through this exam is 19-24 years.

A final year student of BE/B Tech. in Mechanical, Marine, Aeronautical, Production, Control Engineering, Any other allied discipline are eligible to apply.
